This is another case of union busting activity. East West University has targeted local union leaders and not renewed their contracts. Curtis Keyes and Elvert Howard started an adjunct faculty union to negotiate over working conditions and the university has retaliated by cancelling their classes. The university claims that students interested in community activism will be able to engage in valuable dialog and are welcomed and valued at East West University. Clearly faculty who model the same behavior are not.
