We all know distant A&E departments aren’t always the best place to get treatment. It’s usually quicker and easier to go to your local Minor Injuries Unit. But our MIU at the Alfred Bean Hospital in Driffield could be under threat because the East Riding Clinical Commissioning Group thinks many of our MIU's may be underused and so do not give value for money. With the unique demographic spread of our communities, we desperately need to see these MIU's maintained and improved, providing as they do much needed support to residents and visitors alike.
