You Saved Huntly Park - Now for The Community Led Café

Dear Friend of Giffnock,

It's a funny thing, but after years of campaigning to save Huntly Park, now that we have achieved it, I find myself thinking 'what next?'.  The answer to that is simple: establishing the community led café in the pavilion as a place for all to relax and unwind.  It is part of the petition (along with an environmental programme of planting meadow flowers and the tasteful installation of outdoor fitness equipment).

With that in mind, please may I ask you to share the petition more.  There is no rush and we don't need to break records.  We just need to quietly and steadily build support.  Councillors listen and we now know that they act when the community speaks.

Pictured is the little community café in another King George V Playing Field near my old office at RAF High Wycombe.  It typifies the warm community feel I think we should cultivate here in Giffnock.
