Our only village pub "The Dukes Arms ,Woodford" has recently installed UPVC windows to their frontage. 

They would love to have installed hardwood timber frames but as they are a struggling buisiness UPVC was the best they could afford.

The Council have now apparantly told them to rip these out and install timber but this is not possible financially and would lead to closure of the pub. Or a  fine which could also lead to closure.

Anyone who has been there will know the amazing amount of funds for charity The Duke raises every year.
