When I started this petition I thought I might get a few hundred signatures at a push, but never dreamed that signatures would hit the 1500 mark by day two! Again, thank you all for your support - you're all wonderful. After tweeting Iain Gray MSP yesterday, he replied this morning to offer his support and said he's written to the council on our behalf, mentioning the campaign. I've also contacted George Kerevan MP and local media to drum up more support and exposure. The petition's also had a mention on lothianloop.com and has been picked up by East Lothian Life magazine. I'm determined not to let the matter rest until East Lothian Council take action and am confident with your support that we can persuade them to make the changes we want to our recycling facilities.
