Say No To Plastic Water Bottles In East Lothian School Lunches

We are Ella and Leo, aged 7 and 5, and we're saying no to having plastic water bottles in school-packed lunches in East Lothian. Please can you help support us in our mission?
We know that producing plastic bottles is bad for the planet. Also, as a family, we spend a lot of time at East Lothian's amazing beaches which we want to help protect and keep plastic-free for us and future generations. That’s why we want East Lothian Council to think of the environment and stop putting plastic water bottles into children's lunch bags every Friday (roughly 400 bottles a week for our school alone for P1-P4)!
At Haddington Primary School, we all take our own reusable water bottles every day, which we can fill up when we need to. At lunchtime, in the dinner hall, we get water in reusable cups. So why do we need to have a small plastic water bottle in our Friday lunches? We could just make sure that we have a full water bottle before we leave class for the day, and it would even save a lot of money for the school which could be spent on much better things.
Please help us to raise awareness of this issue by signing our petition, and hopefully, East Lothian Council will hear our collective voices and consider making a change.
