Sudbury bloodgrass sextet Murder Murder have been touring the Maritimes for years. They make more tour stops here than most bands who actually reside within the Atlantic provinces do. Within two years they've done six east coast tours, with over sixty performances. Fiddle player Geoff McCausland was even born and raised in Saint John, New Brunswick. Bass player Kris Dickson was born in Nova Scotia and has family throughout New Brunswick.

Despite all their efforts though, Murder Murder remain solidly labelled as a come-from-away band. All of their touring, their dedication, and even their heritage have been for naught, leaving them ineligible for grants or awards.

We can fix this though, by petitioning the East Coast Music Association to recognize Murder Murder as an east coast band, deserving of the title.
