Interim Chancellor Dan Gerlach was placed under administrative leave by UNC System Interim President Bill Roper on Monday, September 30th. This act by Roper does not reflect the nature of the situation, which was blown out of proportion by news site "The Reflector." Gerlach took selfies with some students, and consumed alcohol, both actions are in no way inappropriate.

Throughout Gerlach's short time at ECU he has become a beloved and respected member of the East Carolina community. He has proven to be a leader who is approachable for students. He is commonly seen taking pictures with students on campus, cheering with students at football games, and holding pleasant conversations with students around town.

This petition aims to clear his name and remove him from administrative leave, placing him back into action at ECU. Please sign and support!!!
