Ice Rink in East Brunswick, NJ & Ice Hockey Team in East Brunswick High School!

The Issue

We are missing something very important in our township: AN ICE RINK!!!

We want to have an Ice Rink in East Brunswick, NJ & an Ice Hockey High School Team in East Brunswick High School!

Plenty of kids who plays Ice Hockey in general also play with their High School Teams but East Brunswick doesn't offer this choice to our kids!!!

We have plenty of empty spaces that can be used to build an Ice Skating Rink that is missing in our township.

Public Skating is also important to spend time with our family and friends!

“The redevelopment plans for Route 18 includes a hockey rink. This would be located at 110 Tices (old Wonder Bread Factory). This is behind Dicks Sporting Goods and Kohl’s. The rink would be located at the back of the property with apartments and townhomes in the front. It is early, but this is likely to be the first project of redevelopment as we are hoping that in return for the apartments, the property owner deeds back to the township the land needed for the rink. I, too, had a child that was a hockey player and needed to leave the township to play. Other areas in town are being looked at for a community sports center with indoor swimming.
