East Ayrshire Council, without any public consultation decided to change the Green Bin Collection from once every Two Weeks to once every Three Weeks. 

Back in November 2014 local councillors rubber-stamped the decision without consulting their constituents. 

Once every three weeks to have a Green Bin collected is not good enough! Bins across East Ayrshire are already overflowing at the current two-week collection. 

Residents across East Ayrshire are concerned that there will be an increase in Fly Tipping in the local area. 

Residents with young children will have to wait up to three weeks to have nappies disposed of. This will be really unpleasant, especially during hot summer months. 

Large households will struggle to cope with the amount of waste generated. The council binmen refuse to uplift black bags sat beside the Green Bins. 

To simply impose this on residents is not good enough. We want our council to consult and listen to our needs. The vast majority of residents in East Ayrshire don't want this and this needs to be acknowledged.
