Stop the over development of Perivale

Tesco Perivale has sold off their petrol station and now Amro Living, HTA Design and GL Hearn are proposing to build a 22 storey high rise where the petrol station currently is.
The proposed building is far too high and not at all in keeping with the local residential housing which is mostly 1930's semi detached houses. The Grade II* listed art deco Hoover building will have its appearance ruined with a tower block behind it.
There are already over subscribed schools and doctors surgeries in Perivale. By throwing money at the council, extra spaces will not magically appear.
HS2 tunnelling plus the building of the Wiltern will lead to increased traffic in the local area. The roads are already gridlocked and the residents frustrated by the prospect of even more traffic.
Acoording to The Wiltern website, the car park at Tesco is "an unappealing brownfield site". It's a functional petrol station and car park! The car park is already full most weekends - if this building goes ahead then there will inevitably be overspill to local residential roads.
We urge Ealing Council to reject any plans to build this high rise - overdevelopment is rife in West London - we don't want Perivale to be part of this.
