AMAZING NEWS - OUR PETITION ASKING EALING COUNCIL TO GIVE LOCAL NATURE RESERVE DESIGNATION TO THE ENTIRETY OF REWILDED MEADOW #WarrenFarmNR HAS FLOWN OVER 25,000 SIGNATURES! That’s 25,000 supporters of urban wildlife, environmental health and public open space for all! THANKS TO YOU our Skylarks, Barn Owls, Kestrels, rare Clovers, Yarrow Pugs, Slow-Worms, Hedgehogs and so many more continue to be given a much-needed voice. To say we are extremely grateful to be on this journey with you is an understatement, TOGETHER, WE'RE MAKING IT HAPPEN!
In our previous petition update we shared news of brilliant Conservationist, Wildlife Writer and team mate Kabir Kaul, recently presenting on Chris Packham’s new online wildlife magazine show ‘8 OUT OF 10 BATS’. Raising awareness of our Warren Farm Nature Reserve campaign and exploring some of the important reasons why this vital grassland and wildflower habitat deserves to be safeguarded from development. In MORE EXCITING NEWS the Brent River & Canal Society, which is the charity who formed the Brent River Park where Warren Farm Nature Reserve resides and who our campaign runs with, are relaunching in the run-up to celebrating their 50 Year Anniversary! There is a NEW BRENT RIVER PARK WEBSITE and MEMBERSHIP IS FREE! Please do visit BrentRiverPark.org to discover more about this incredible regional park made up of connected green spaces linked by the River Brent. We would not exist today without past campaigners and visionaries like Luke FitzHerbert, who stood up for our green and blue spaces in the 70s to create the Brent River Park. Now it’s our turn to continue in his legacy for the benefit of wildlife and future generations!
