Dear Warren Farm Nature Reserve supporters,
Fantastic news for a Monday morning to share with you all today.
Thanks to your support our petition continues to grow, having exceeded the 2500 signature goal, we are now aiming to reach our next goal of 5000 signatures! An amazing achievement so far, let's keep going!
Did you know...
...we have over 1160 different plant species recorded here on #WarrenFarmNR, 3 of which are very rare in Greater London, meaning they are vulnerable to extinction in the region. As Mark A Spencer, Forensic Botanist, BSBI and LNHS Recorder notes;
"Another two species found at Warren Farm are listed as ‘Near Threatened’ on the England Vascular Plant Red List; this designation means that these plants are close to being considered at risk of extinction in England. Throughout Greater London, there are only 4 known sites for one of these species – every one of these is important to its survival." You can read Mark's full statement of support and more from our team by clicking here.
Please do continue to #CareSignShare our petition with your nature loving friends and neighbours. Every signature helps give a voice to the numerous and incredible species we've recorded here on #WarrenFarmNR, a voice they would not otherwise have.
Wishing you a safe and green start to the week,
Team #WarrenFarmNR

Pls note - donations made through the Change.org petition do not go to Warren Farm Nature Reserve or the BRCS. However, donations do allow Change.org to find like-minded people to support the petition, thereby allowing the petition to reach more supporters of nature. Thank you.
