The Community Manager for Star Wars Squadrons has recently clarified that there will be no support for Console based HOTAS peripherals. Motive intend only to support certain PC based HOTAS.

This petition is to demonstrate the level of fan demand for Console based HOTAS. We ask that Motive Studio do all that is possible to program support for console based HOTAS. In the case that they cannot we ask that they provide a clear and honest reason as to why this isn't possible.

I'd like to add that as the creator of this petition, I fully support Ian Frazier & Motive Studios - the game they are creating and the level of communication they have displayed has done wonders to create confidence amongst fans. However there is an opportunity to avoid a huge amount of disappointment among high immersion seeking console gamers within the community that would be caused by failing to support Console HOTAS.
