Shut Down Holmfirth Animal Auction
The Issue
Holmfirth Animal auction, Is a horrible and disgusting place where animals are being sold in somewhat poor and unfit conditions, The cages the animals are kept in are very small and confined, have No fresh water and No food, The animals could be kept in these small, confined cages for hours on end until they are sold. The condition of some of the animals are also very poor, I (Dylan Longmate) have attended the auction on a few occasions, and I can safely say the animals are unfit to be sold, Some of the animals I have seen have had some health conditions, I have on a few occasions demanded the auction should be stopped and for the animals to be assessed before they are sold, From my experience of the auction the Animals are in very poor condition Meaning they are suffering unnecessarily, Most of the animals are underweight, being sold whilst pregnant, Have obvious health conditions, and look very unwell from the small cages they are kept in. The animals are often sold for meat, Bought and Killed on site. I myself have witnessed rabbits being killed and thrown into boxes. The animals are sold for near enough nothing, this attracts the wrong kind of cliental, People buy these poor and defenceless animals because they are cheap, Often bought for meat like I mentioned, Bought for dogs to eat, Other animals sold for fighting and some animals don't even make it out of the auction house. I have witnessed animals die in there cages because they are so dehydrated, hungry and suffering from Obvious health problems. I think this has gone on for to long now, These poor animals cant talk for themselves, that's why we need come together and be there voices. Together we can make change. We can stop the suffering of these poor animals. I am very passionate about animal rights. Together we will endeavour to get the place closed down and aspire to bring the suffering to a complete end.
