A government investigation and action are required against the DVLA; to change the current ridiculous and distressing situation faced by UK drivers forced to apply for, or renew, their licence by post. 

Putting this current ridiculous lack of activity, care, and urgency into parliament will be the required catalyst for change.

As a COVID-19 critical worker, delivery driver (including emergency NHS deliveries) and support worker, I am currently in the 12 month mercy window of section 58 awaiting a medical renewal which was forced to be completed through the post. The lack of action by the DVLA is distressing! 

Yet more distressing; I am one of tens of thousands of professional drivers stuck in this same ridiculous situation. Unable to prove license categories, unable to apply for insurance, and unable to rent vehicles. It is stopping us working in our logistics industry and this impacts everyone in the UK. 

Please help to create the change required. 

I worked every day, in every lockdown, providing the deliveries which the whole UK was dependent upon; NHS emergency medical supplies, food, fencing, and agricultural products to name just a few. Yet now I am unable to work due to the DVLA themselves. Please help us all.
