Our seniors deserve and EARNED  the right to a proper graduation. Maybe not traditional, but a reasonable graduation.  One where they walk across  a stage, are handed their diplomas, take a picture with the principal, and later put their tassel to the other side then throw up their caps.

It is not too much to expect.  Even during a Pandemic. A drive through virtual graduation is unacceptable on so many levels. We are better than this. This is NOT our best solution. We CAN postpone graduation  until July or August. Have the ceremony outdoors. Practice social distancing  and even wear masks. We can even go as far as to limit the number of guests. Furthermore, we can opt to do a stagger graduation.

There are so many other reasonable options. Let our voices be heard. We need the Durham Public School board to hear us. 

With so many things that were taken away from them senior year, let's at least keep one thing relatively  normal for them as we send them off.
