This pathetic excuse of a man should not be allowed out of prison, and he should definitely not be allowed to live in a populated area where there are kids around a lot, such as Consett! He was not given enough time and did not even serve all of his prison sentence due to the flawed prison system!

A child rapist who was sentenced to five years in 2016 was released from prison on Thursday

In 2016, Joshua (Josh) Harwood of South Stanley admitted six counts of rape against a female child aged under 16 and multiple offences of sexual activity with a female child aged under 13

The court heard that Harwood repeatedly raped a 15 year old girl when he was himself the same age

He used violence to silence the victim.

Harwood also pleaded guilty to sexual activity on numerous occasions with a 12 year old girl when he was aged 17.

He must register as a sex offender for life

Harwood is now staying in a bail hostel, and is likely to live in Consett once a three month probation period has been completed

A exclusion zone has been set up which prohibits Harwood on entering many parts of Stanley."
