Spennymoor has many new building developments going up, Merrington Park being one of them. 

This particular estate is just by the A688 which is an incredibly busy bypass where cars, trucks etc often exit the roundabout at high speeds. 

This is the main route to the North Park Primary School for many parents and young children. There is a tunnel further up the road but this is very secluded and there isn't sufficient lighting. 

This petition is for Durham County Council to put either a footbridge or crossing to assist people to walk safely to the school.
