Jim Wells has openly and repeatedly discriminated against the LGBT community and following in the steps of the previous DUP Minister of Health has refused to lift the ban on gay men in Northern Ireland giving blood. He has also stated that children raised by parents in a same-sex relationship are more likely to be abused.
