Even though some changes are good, others can make people sad, or angry. When we had the old learning tree, everything in the lessons, and the tree itself was more organized than the lessons in the path form. When we had the tree form, each category had five levels, and each lesson was in a specific order, and we got to keep doing the lessons in a cycle five times to get them more into our long-term memory. With the path form, there are more circles, and we only get to do a cycle of lessons once. With the tree form, to get to legendary level, the tests were the same number of lessons in a cycle in that category. With the path form, we had to do eight tests each, for the whole unit, instead of a single category. I am sure some people want things back the way they were before, and I believe they can be if enough people sign this petition. And along with bringing back the tree, I want Duolingo to consider adding Thai, Quechua and Cherokee for English speakers, as well as bringing back some of the original stories, like the Hérnandez Family Cruise series. I really don't like the new update. I want things to go back to the way they were, because that was the real Duolingo way.
