Everyone who’s been to a Dunkin’ Donuts more than once knows that you’ll never receive the same thing twice. Even if it’s the same location. The reason is because there is no standardization. That’s right. Unlike Starbucks, McDonald’s, Chick-fil-A and the list goes on there are no standard operating procedures when it comes to making their menu items. I’ve responded to countless surveys on my receipts and for what? Sure I get offered to have my order replaced with again another surprise recipe. I want consistency. How many times do you pull off and taste your food and realize it’s not right or should I say the way you had it last time or the time before then. I know what your thinking... just stop going but that doesn’t help the countless people who waste their money because they don’t have the time or the patience to deal with trying to get their order right. But again what is right? Because it’s never the same. Why is something that seems so simple so difficult for Dunkin? Join me in demanding consistency. Every item should have a specific process on how to make it the same each and every time.
