Source all their coffee ethically through Fair Trade.
Source all their coffee ethically through Fair Trade.
The Issue
Fair Trade coffee supports the farmer by giving them a fair price for their coffee so that they can pay their workers’ wages and still earn enough to live on. Coffee and Chocolate are two of the top products that we all buy regularly, but those producing our coffee and chocolate are often not paid a fair / living wage for their work. Often they have to work weeks on end with no days off, and often children are expected to work as well, instead of being educated. Countries like Ghana, and Kenya become targets for human trafficking because of their economic instability - stemming from them being unable to get a living wage. Dunkin Donuts already supports Fair Trade with their espresso products, so they would be natural candidates to changing all of their coffee sourcing to Fair Trade.
