SAVE Sumthin' Kool Snowballs from Dunkin Donuts PUSHOUT

SAVE Sumthin' Kool Snowballs from Dunkin Donuts PUSHOUT
The Issue
On December 8, 2021, the owners of Sumthin' Kool Snowballs received a 21 day notice of vacate from the alleged new owners' law firm. The problem is that the deal that allegedly took place violated the current owners (The Shaw's) due process of rights to purchase the property first and the owners have not received any official paperwork identifying the purchase from the previous owner to the alleged new one.
The Broker that handled the deal, did so with fraudulent intentions. The old owner and the realtor (Broker) knew there were tenants in the space of 3044 Rolling Road but told the alleged new owner there were none during the sale and vetting process. The current tenants have been occupying this space (3044 Rolling Road, Windsor, MD) since 2014 to date and were omitted during the process of alleged sale. As part of their contract, the currents owners of Sumthin' Kool and current tenants have the first right of sale option but was denied such during this process, amongst other ongoing concerns. Sunthin' Kool has been in business since 2002.
The owners of Sumthin' Kool and current tenants of 3044 Rolling Road, Windsor Mill, MD desire to stay in their current space (as they have for the last 20+ years) and wish to have an opportunity to purchase rightfully, the building they are in currently.
The alleged new owner is attempting to force out the current tenants to replace with a Dunkin Donuts. Sumthin' Kool has been a pillar in the community for over 20+ years. Sumthin' Kool is the only remaining Black-owned business and is more than a restaurant. Sumthin' Kool has partnerships with government entities, school systems, assist with with feeding the homeless and assisting with elderly residents, provide jobs opportunities, and the list goes on.
We need your help, the voice of the people to show Dunkin Donuts Corp that attempting to FORCE out an asset in our community in Sumthin' Kool is not going to happen without a fight for justice.
We need 5000+ patrons to sign this petition of support to SAVE Sumthin' Kool, the only black-owned business remaining in this part of Baltimore County and in the community. There are at least 12 other Dunkin Donuts within a 3-mile radius of Sumthin' Kool. Our community need Sumthin' Kool and Sumthin' Kool remains a community partner and positive role model for the constituents in and near Baltimore County, MD.
