PROGRESS: Dunkin’ to roll out vegan meats!
May 6, 2019 —
BREAKING: Dunkin’ CEO David Hoffmann just broke the news that plant-based meat items will be on the menu soon! Send a quick thanks to Mr. Hoffmann TODAY (using our sample below) and encourage him to dish out vegan donuts next!
In a brand new interview, Hoffmann stated that Dunkin’ is in talks with a plant-based meat company and that we can expect to see a vegan item on the menu soon. He explained that Dunkin’ is staying up on current trends and that plant-based proteins are a “natural evolution” for the coffee giant, noting that guests will soon be able to choose to replace sausage made from animals with a plant-based patty or crumble.
In 2014, Dunkin’ poured out almond milk for our dairy-free coffee--but couldn’t seem to keep up as other fast food giants added more vegan items to their menus. But since Compassion Over Killing rolled out our vegan donut campaign last year, your voices are being heard, and big changes have been brewing for the coffee giant. Dunkin’ could be the first national coffee chain to dish out a vegan meat, gaining a major advantage over breakfast competitors like Starbucks and McDonald’s!
Let’s be sure to show Dunkin’ how much we appreciate its efforts to provide more compassionate, sustainable, and healthier options--and encourage it to take the next step by dishing out a vegan donut! Email David Hoffmann at email@example.com using our sample below or your own polite message.
Dear Mr. Hoffmann,
Thank you for announcing that we will soon see plant-based meat on the menu at Dunkin’! In 2014, I was thrilled when Dunkin’ brewed up almond milk for our coffee after hearing from tens of thousands of Compassion Over Killing supporters. But as Forbes predicted, 2019 is the “year of the vegan,” and millions are ditching animal meats and by-products for a more compassionate, sustainable, and healthier lifestyle. I hope you will continue to be a food industry leader by becoming the first coffee giant to offer a vegan donut! Thank you.
