The Buttermilk is a classic donut that consumers miss having on the menu. I have done my research on different internet forums/message boards and this is the general consensus. There are so many other bakeries to choose from that bake fresh daily (and let's face it, you can get a glazed or sprinkled donut anywhere), why not give the people what they want and bring back an old favorite that hasn't been able to be duplicated? Customers like myself, who no longer purchase donuts at DD because of the disappearance of the Buttermilk will return, so it's a win-win situation all around!
