Happy International Youth Day! Today, we are joining other young Change.org petition starters to tell the world that #KidsTheseDays are not waiting for adults to fight for our environment – we’re doing it ourselves.

 We think that it’s important that young people take action to reduce plastic waste because if a child wants to do something, they should be able to do it. They have a right not to wait for an adult to do it. If the adults don’t do anything, kids shouldn’t have to sit around waiting for days, months, years for their dream to happen.

 Also, kids like to follow what other kids are doing. So if one child helps the environment, then another child might be influenced to help the planet as well. Then a whole chain of children are helping to fight for the earth demanding change. Young people are the future of this world. It’s their world they can change so it’s a better place when they become adults.
