During the warmer months, students find it highly uncomfortable to wear the full-length pants that are an accepted part of the uniform. In many other school boards, the schools offer shorts. Although our school does not provide a 'short' option, the student body has taken to rolling the cuffs of their pants up, which is causing class disruptions and frustrated students. As students, we understand that rolling up our pants is against school policy, and feel this issue would be resolved with the addition of a 'shorts' option in our uniform.
