Petition Overview:

We, the undersigned, condemn the council’s proposals to:

·         Construct an i54 type industrial zone on land adjacent to M5 Junction 3

·         Damage the historical, ecological and natural history of the area

·         Destroy an area of registered greenbelt

·         Cause greater disruption and congestion, with increased traffic on existing roads

Further Details:

The proposal to build a 240 acre industrial site on land, bordered by the M5 and the A456 Manor Way, will not only destroy the greenbelt, but will also destroy the aesthetic setting of the 13th century Abbey ruins.

The Council have already studied this historic beautiful area and are aware of its environmental; ecological; historic; landscape; informal recreational and tourism importance. It is also a major part of the' Clentine Worcestershire Landscape'. As the Council are aware of these major attributes, we, the public are justified in believing that the Council wish to proceed in spite of this being such an obvious asset
