Hi Neighbors: (copied from planning commissioner Steve Wright) There is a lot going on right now with the proposed IKEA project so it's a good time to read up on it and give your input in writing or at an upcoming meeting on the Site Design and Aesthetics. This project will be the subject of future public hearings before the Planning Commission and the City Council. some important dates to keep in mind: * Site Design + Aesthetics - Wednesday, Feb. 21, 6p, Dublin City Hall, Regional Meeting Room on the first floor. 100 Civic Plaza. There will be a short presentation. City staff, and IKEA retail project architects, landscape architects and civil engineers will be on hand according to the city announcement. Attendees are encouraged to "share your thoughts and engage in discussion." * Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Report - The written comment period for the Draft Supplemental EIR begins on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2018 (45 days). The report is quite lengthy and includes several appendices and supporting data. Send your comments to: amy.million@dublin.ca.gov. Here's the direct link to the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Report. It's a supplemental EIR because years ago when the area was added to the city's building blueprint - the General Plan - it had an overall EIR completed. The supplemental EIR looks at the specific IKEA planned project, its potential impact on the environment and provides some possible mitigation measures. It's 504 pages. https://dublin-development.icitywork.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/IKEA-Retail-Center-Draft-SEIR.pdf Here is a link to the Traffic Impact Assessment Appendix of the Draft Supplemental EIR, which is 1165 pages. Note, the written part of the report is 147 pages. The rest of the material is supporting data, etc., for the report. At the beginning of the report there is a table of contents, list references, appendices inventory, etc., to make navigation through it all a bit easier. https://dublin-development.icitywork.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/IKEA-Draft-SEIR-Appendix-F-Transportation-Assessment-PART-1.pdf To see the complete list of material connected to the IKEA Supplemental EIR use this link, then scroll to the IKEA project link on the right side of the page and click on "Details." https://dublin-development.icitywork.com/ Questions?
