IKEA is a major issue for Dublin. After thorough research and two meetings with IKEA representatives, here are my findings and concerns: *Based on 2014 IKEA data, the average number of visitors to IKEA is 1.5 million per day. *IKEA is not willing to make changes to the size of their building, nor the size and positioning of their logo. *To increase parking space, they are considering a ground level garage, creating a massive IKEA tower affect in our city. *IKEA believes traffic will be minimized because of the closeness to the Dublin BART. I believe those who use BART to shop at IKEA will become online shoppers, which reduces the tax benefits for Dublin. My position on this issue it that we need to consider other options before adding this massive structure, problems with high volume traffic and increased parking needs. We need to do our due diligence to make sure we have the RIGHT COMPANY at the RIGHT TIME and RIGHT PLACE for DUBLIN. https://m.facebook.com/monalisa.dublin2016/
