SAVE OUR SKATEPARK!

SAVE OUR SKATEPARK!
Why this petition matters

As you may or may not know, A local skatepark located in Cabra, Dublin has been closed from public use for close to a year due to "Health And Safety". This is a skatepark that was loved and cherished by many people in the local community and used as a place of leisure and a peaceful place where Skaters, Scooter and BMX riders could wind down and have some fun.
Cabra skatepark has been closed down due to pure neglect by Dublin City Council. The metal park has been left for years to rust and clearly shows signs of ageing. But this could all be changed! With minimum investment our skatepark could be patched up and repainted making it once again a great facility in the local community.
We have heard word that the skatepark will be getting removed and replaced with Tennis courts, this is extremely disapointing as in a country with a great lack of skating facilities compared to the rest of Europe it is extremelly sad to be loosing a great park.
We as a community hope that Dublin City Council see how many people would love to have our skatepark fixed up and ready to ride again. If worst comes to worst we hope that the skatepark will not be broken up and dumped and would instead be donated to another community in Dublin where it will be used as the fun place it is for years to come.
Please sign this petition and help us save our park, Thank you,
