Thank you again for taking the time to email Senator Jordon Steele-John with your petition to the TGA to prioritise their approval of Syfovre.

As an update, Senator Steele-John raised your change.org campaign with Minister Butler and Jordon asked for more information about the TGA process and the timeline for approval.

Minister Butler’s team confirmed that the TGA evaluation is ongoing, as part of an international work sharing arrangement with Canada, Switzerland and UK.

They raised there are some challenges to overcome with the supplier, and they were not able to give us a timeline on completion.

While it’s disappointing not to have clarity on a timeline, I do hope that our advocacy to Minister Butler will contribute towards this being resolved faster. 

We will continue to follow this up with the TGA and the Ministers office.
