In October of 2020, Waukegan Police officer Dante Salinas shot Tafara Williams and her boyfriend Marcellis Stinnette, killing Marcellis and severely injuring Tafara. Then, nearly two years later, State's Attorney Eric Reinhardt charged Salinas for that shooting.

Despite billing himself as a progressive attorney, Reinhardt charged the victim Tafara Williams with "felony fleeing" in the same press release that he charged Salinas for the shooting. 

These charges are outrageous and we must stand with Tafara in getting them dropped. To prevent further injury to Tafara, her family and the community of Waukegan- Reinhardt must drop the charges now!
