Our family is deeply shaken by the unjust charges held against our beloved Pastor Michael Anderson, a devoted community leader and a beacon of hope for Newark, New Jersey. As his family, we are intimately aware of his unwavering commitment to serving others, guiding youths away from violence, and offering solace and guidance to those who need it most.

Michael Anderson is a Newark pastor, a venture capitalist, a husband, and a father. He is now facing charges, and his family is asking New Jersey to remember who he is.

For 25 years, Michael has shown up for New Jersey. He joined the NAACP as a teenager and has been organizing ever since. He gave 353 book bags to North Plainfield students, raised $20,000 for Newark's youth employment program, and led a $100,000 campaign for families hit by the earthquake in Colombia. He pastors Church For Global Community, mentors young people with Vision Youth, and teaches them to know their civil rights.

He went from Newark to Harvard to Wall Street, then came home to build Mindfulness Capital US, a fund that backs local founders. He has testified before the New Jersey Legislature on economic justice and ran for Congress to serve his community.

Every person is presumed innocent. Michael deserves fairness, due process, and the chance to be home with his family and his community while his case moves forward.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office to drop the charges against Michael Anderson.
The court to release Michael to his family while his case proceeds.
New Jersey to uphold every resident's right to be presumed innocent.
