Recently I was charged with a various amount of felonies that I was not involved or engaged in at all. These charges and the ramifications that have come from them have been a devastation to my life. They have cost me more than I could ever imagine. I am a felon, I've made some terrible choices in my past. I have experienced severe trauma and have been diagnosed with CPTSD due to multiple acts of violent trauma. I used drugs to manage these tragic events that have happened to me. Drugs are a way to cover up the damage that other people have caused me. I have done my absolute best to use my hurt, pain, and trauma to help others overcome the obstacles that these situations have placed in front of them. My past is something that I have taken the necessary steps to overcome. For all the progress that I have made, I am still judged harshly and unfairly simply because of my past choices. At the moment I have felony charges such as RICO-criminal syndicate, Trafficking, and various other felonies for crimes I simply just did not commit. The sitting judge is a former prosecutor who is also the same prosecutor that tried my case in 2012. The police officers in our town have never had any dealings with me due to the fact that I haven't been in trouble in over 10 years. An officer Talin Gary, explained to me in the police cruiser that he knew that I hadn't been involved in any sort of drug dealings of any kind in a very long time, and even knowing this, he still charged me with these charges. I haven't been involved in any sort of criminal activity since 2018, which I have already been arrested for and served the sentence out. I was released in October, 2020 and have not had any interaction with law enforcement of any kind until this event. Currently, my husband and my father-in-law sit in jail on these charges which is the most awful sort of abuse of power, and makes a mockery of our justice system. People should be punished for the crimes they commit, however, when a person is showing real change, they should not be judged or prosecuted for the personal opinions of law enforcement. Mine and my husband's charges are the definition of what can happen when personal and bias judgements are made by the people elected into positions of authority. I am asking for the signatures of people who knew me before and people who know and can attest to the changes I have made. The people who can honestly say that they know this judgement and these things I have been charged with are wrong and should absolutely be dropped immediately against me and my husband. Also, the sheriff's department should be investigated and the officers involved should be appropriately punished for their abuse of power. This is something that should never be allowed to stand, and is the duty of all people as American's to stand up against this type of oppression. When people are punished for their crimes and have served the sentence that was imposed on them, the police or society should not be able to continue to pass this kind of judgement on them. My plea is that with this petition, the court in Butler County, KY will immediately drop these charges for these crimes that we are all aware I did not commit.
