The situation that exists at Uvalda is critical and the difference between life and death for these animals. Our group was asked  to come to the rescue for animals living in DEPLORABLE conditions. We were told over the course of a four month span that conditions were improving and Carol Donaldson ( who had NEVER been at the property) and Corinne Odermatt were handling everything. The property owner, Bruce Moore is in very poor health. He is an older man dying of emphysema. Bruce is INCAPABLE of taking care of animals and cannot take care of himself. Their ONLY source of water is a single hose. His companion, Belinda is Bipolar and suffers from end stage cancer. There are thousands of rats that have taken over the property. They are both alive and dead and are easily viewed all over the dog kennels. Bruce and Belinda have NO bathroom facilities, rather a port a pot outside with a hole dug in the ground. After NO significant improvement was noted and only some of the dogs were moved to rescue by Corinne over this 4 mo span, we offered to bring in an ENTIRE force of volunteers along with our veterinarian to assess all the dogs on the property, vaccinate,heartworm test them and do photo shoots of each for placement. We were also going to pull all the dogs we knew we could potentially work with, vet and place within our team of rescues. We were led to believe that there were over 60 dogs that had been there for years. Despite Corinne's attempts to get animals to rescue groups, Bruce and Belinda continued taking in many , many animals. We found out that Bruce was performing his own veterinarian procedures on the animals ( with NO license!)  Never at any point were we informed by the two self appointed lead "quarterbacks" ( Corinne and Carol) that we would end up having to negotiate through Corinne to actually be allowed to take animals. We were promised a guarantor of payment for our veterinarian services and supplies ( which we NEVER heard back from the organization through Corinne). We arrived at Uvalda on Friday, Feb 6 with our waiting GA team of volunteers who already began the massive triage efforts of the day. We had a team of 20 volunteers on site. Once we arrived we walked around in utter shock. We had NEVER seen anything this horrific. The desperation of some of the dogs to be talked to gently and shown affection was very evident. We witnessed Belinda have MANY bipolar moments and the dogs were the victims of her outbursts. Corinne ran the show and dictated which animals we could actually help and which she would need to secretly negotiate for with Bruce and Belinda. We heard the cries of puppies trapped in a shed and asked to see them immediately , which we were told NUMEROUS lies about . After many negotiations with Corinne we were able to secure the safety and rescue of TWO of the THREE puppies. We discovered a mommy and her week old puppies in another shed with NO ventilation and a smell that would make tears run down our faces. We discovered a dog completely covered in mange and had no hair with flea NESTS embedded under her skin. The most devastating case of animal neglect was a dog named HoneyBear suffering from congestive heart failure. She too was in this death camp shed. At first glance we thought she was pregnant. We later found out that Bruce was actually jabbing syringes into her lungs to "drain the fluid". Our team was done with negotiations at this point! We were invited in and begged to come save these animals. We ended up paying for our vet along with the supplies necessary. The final straw in this day was the rescue of a dog named Madisyn. This was a dog who was begging us to take her. Our hearts broke and so we told Belinda and Corinne that we can place Madisyn. We were met with a NO WAY, that is Belinda's "personal dog". Our volunteer took the next three hours to convince Belinda that it would be in the best interest of this dog to be in a home and not a cage. We finally convinced Belinda to do the right thing for this dog. Madisyn's picture was in an email sent out on December 2, 2014 by Corinne of all the dogs needing immediate rescue and help. We were all in shock and disbelief that the urgent calls and emails for our help have now turned into begging to save these dogs. Corinne Odermatt put herself in this situation as the keeper of the gate wanting to dictate and control the two mentally incompetent people. She gained their trust over the last 4 months and has them believing everything she has to say to them. She coerces them into actions they never would have been capable of doing on their own. We were able to convince Belinda into allowing the third puppy to leave with us. Once Madisyn was walked out by her owner Belinda , Bruce came out and started screaming she was NOT letting that one go. She pulled the leash from him and SHE loaded the dog into our van. Bruce then announced he was going to get his gun in five minutes IF we did not return Belinda's dog .Please watch the video attached to this petition. The days that followed this rescue mission have been filled with harassment, threats, intimidation tactics, slander and bullying tactics. Carol and Corinne had made it their life mission to NEVER allow us back to help the animals. They have accused us of causing Bruce a stroke ( although never seeking medical attention) , we have been accused of Bruce and Belinda now being "suicidal" ( to which Carol and Corinne NEVER reported this to mental health professionals). We have been accused of stealing Madyson who they label now as a seizure detection dog who lives in a cage? Corinne has taken these two trusting people to the sheriff to file charges against us. Carol Donaldson NEVER stepped foot at this property ,having a pack of 60 YES SIXTY dogs ( which is why she sympathizes with other hoarders)  IN HER HOME. She finally made the trip on Friday, Feb 13, 2015. Carol has sent emails to many of our contacts in the rescue world informing them that we now "steal " dogs. They have refused a dog to leave with us on a prearranged transport to Tampa on Feb 17, 2015 stating THEY will arrange transport now and do NOT want our rescue involved! This game they are playing with lives clearly shows it's a power trip for these two women. We have NEVER answered an email. We refuse to respond. In NOT responding , Carol's emails demonstrate a clear escalation in anger and threats. After Carol went to the property for the first time Feb . 13, 2015 she issued this email to our rescue's monetary sponsor " I don't know if this would work, but I'm wondering if they might not be able to get closure and agree to drop the charges on Madisyn if they received an apology and some financial compensation. A donation perhaps in recognition of their hard work, etc, etc. We all know that Madisyn is probably a whole lot better off wherever she is but Karen needs to learn that as a licensed Georgia rescue she can't just steal dogs and cart them out of state without facing the consequences. .Please communicate our request to Karen for pictures and an accounting of the dogs she took. Please also talk to her about some compensation offer in exchange for Madisyn. I do not know if it will work, but it might. " Sent from Carol Donaldson.

PLEASE help us, we want to continue helping these animals without interference and we want ALL charges dropped against us since it has now obviously turned into a blackmail bribery attempt on Carol's part. PLEASE HELP US ,HELP THEM .
