Petition to the Islamic Republic of Iran, International Community, Human Rights Activists, and All Conscious beings:

Drop All Charges Against Dr Naser Hemmati

We, the undersigned—doctors, health workers, mental health practitioners, authors, human rights activists, and concerned civilians—stand in solidarity with Naser Hemmati, a Kurdish civil activist and psychiatrist, who is currently facing serious charges in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Hemmati has been charged with multiple offenses, including "blasphemy against the Prophet of Islam," "propaganda supporting the Zionist regime," "insulting Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei," "spreading false information," and "propaganda against the Islamic Republic." These charges are not only a direct attack on his rights but also violate fundamental human rights, including the right to free expression, the right to participate in political life, and the right to be free from arbitrary detention and punishment.

These charges carry extremely severe penalties and can result in sentences as harsh as execution. It is critical that we act now and ask IR to drop these unjust charges before any sentencing takes place. These actions are an attempt to silence dissent and punish peaceful expressions of opinion, which violates the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). Specifically:

• Article 19 of the UDHR affirms that everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression, including the right to seek, receive, and impart information and ideas through any media, regardless of frontiers.
• Article 21 guarantees the right of every individual to take part in the government of their country, directly or through freely chosen representatives, and to have equal access to public service.
• Article 10 of the UDHR ensures that everyone is entitled to a fair and public hearing by an independent and impartial tribunal, in the determination of their rights and obligations.

Naser Hemmati is not a criminal. He is a courageous individual who has stood up for the rights of the oppressed and has been vocal in his support for human rights, freedom of expression, and the right to peaceful protest. In 2019, he was arrested for supporting protests, and in 2021, he was sentenced to prison for speaking out against the regime.

Hemmati's case is emblematic of the Iranian authorities' ongoing crackdown on activists, intellectuals, and ordinary citizens who dare to speak truth to power. We call on the Islamic Republic of Iran to immediately drop all charges against Naser Hemmati and to end the harassment against him. We urge the international community, human rights organizations, and all aware and compassionate individuals to join in this call and take action to prevent the Iranian regime from imposing any further harm on Hemmati.

We, as doctors, health workers, mental health practitioners, authors, human rights activists, and civilians, demand that the Iranian authorities cease their repression of free speech and human rights. This case is not just about one man, but a symbol of the global struggle for freedom, justice, and dignity.

درخواست از جمهوری اسلامی ایران، جامعه بین‌المللی، فعالان حقوق بشر و همه انسان‌های آگاه: لغو تمام اتهامات علیه ناصر همتی

ما، امضاء کنندگان این درخواست—پزشکان، کارکنان حوزه سلامت، متخصصان بهداشت روان، نویسندگان، فعالان حقوق بشر و شهروندان نگران—در همبستگی با ناصر همتی، فعال کرد و روانپزشک، که هم‌اکنون با اتهامات جدی در جمهوری اسلامی ایران روبرو است، ایستاده‌ایم. ناصر همتی با چندین اتهام روبرو شده است، از جمله «اهانت به پیامبر اسلام»، «تبلیغ رژیم صهیونیستی»، «اهانت به مقام رهبری علی خامنه‌ای»، «انتشار اطلاعات غلط» و «تبلیغ علیه جمهوری اسلامی». این اتهامات نه تنها حمله‌ای مستقیم به حقوق اوست بلکه نقض حقوق بنیادی بشر، از جمله حق آزادی بیان، حق مشارکت در زندگی سیاسی و حق مصونیت از دستگیری و مجازات‌های خودسرانه است.

این اتهامات مجازات‌های شدیدی به همراه دارند و می‌توانند منجر به حکم‌هایی همچون اعدام شوند. ضروری است که این اتهامات ناعادلانه را لغو شود و از صدور هرگونه حکم مجازات قبل از وقوع آن جلوگیری شود. این اقدامات تلاشی برای خاموش کردن صدای مخالفان و مجازات نظرات صلح‌آمیز است که نقض آشکار اعلامیه جهانی حقوق بشر (UDHR) است. به ویژه:

ماده ۱۹ از اعلامیه جهانی حقوق بشر تأکید می‌کند که هر فردی حق آزادی عقیده و بیان را دارد، از جمله حق جستجو، دریافت و انتقال اطلاعات و ایده‌ها از طریق هر رسانه‌ای، فارغ از مرزها.
ماده ۲۱ این اعلامیه حق هر فرد را برای مشارکت در حکومت کشور خود، به‌طور مستقیم یا از طریق نمایندگان منتخب، و دسترسی برابر به خدمات عمومی تضمین می‌کند.
ماده ۱۰ از اعلامیه جهانی حقوق بشر تأکید دارد که هر فردی حق دارد که در یک دادگاه عمومی و عادلانه به‌طور مستقل و بی‌طرف، حقوق و تعهدات خود را تعیین کند.
ناصر همتی یک مجرم نیست. او فردی شجاع است که برای حقوق افراد مظلوم ایستاده و در حمایت از حقوق بشر، آزادی بیان و حق اعتراض مسالمت‌آمیز به صدا درآمده است. در سال ۲۰۱۹، او به دلیل حمایت از اعتراضات دستگیر شد و در سال ۲۰۲۱ به خاطر انتقاد از رژیم، به زندان محکوم شد.

مورد ناصر همتی نماد سرکوب مداوم فعالان، نخبگان فکری و شهروندان عادی توسط مقامات ایرانی است که جرات می‌کنند حقیقت را به قدرت بگویند. ما از جمهوری اسلامی ایران خواستار لغو فوری تمام اتهامات علیه ناصر همتی و پایان دادن به آزار و اذیت او هستیم. از جامعه بین‌المللی، سازمان‌های حقوق بشر و همه انسان‌های آگاه و دلسوز درخواست می‌کنیم که به این درخواست بپیوندند و اقدامی برای جلوگیری از وارد شدن هر گونه آسیب بیشتر به ناصر همتی انجام دهند.

ما، به عنوان پزشکان، کارکنان حوزه سلامت، متخصصان بهداشت روان، نویسندگان، فعالان حقوق بشر و شهروندان، خواستار توقف سرکوب آزادی بیان و حقوق بشر توسط مقامات ایرانی هستیم. این پرونده فقط مربوط به یک فرد نیست بلکه نمادی از مبارزه جهانی برای آزادی، عدالت و کرامت انسانی است.

با امضای این درخواست، ما برای تقویت صدای ناصر همتی و نشان دادن این که در برابر ظلم سکوت نخواهیم کرد، با هم ایستاده‌ایم. بیایید در حمایت از کسانی که با شجاعت اصول خود را دفاع می‌کنند، حتی در مواجهه با خطرات بزرگ شخصی، متحد شویم.

درخواست ما:

لغو فوری تمام اتهامات علیه ناصر همتی.
پایان دادن به تمامی آزار و اذیت‌ها علیه او.
حفاظت کامل از حقوق او به عنوان یک فعال مدنی و مدافع حقوق بشر.
مخالفت قوی با احتمال صدور حکم اعدام یا هرگونه مجازات شدید برای ناصر همتی.
