At Harlingen High School, in Harlingen, Tx our school has had the same dress code restrictions for years, but as new styles and changes come forward they have enforced and have made it more strict, Students here want to feel relaxed and not stressed over what we wear and how we express ourselves, why should it be a "distraction' for boys and girls at our school? Our school always judges our appearance such as ripped jeans, off shoulder shirts that show a little belly and hair color saying its a distraction to our learning. Let me say that this is completely absurd but it's also real ignorant that the fact the teacher wear whatever they want and have no consequences just because they have "higher standards". Its not fair to us the students at HHS or to any students in the RGV so if you agree sign this petition and help me to change our Dress Code into a more relaxed attire.
