Children are impressionable creatures. This movie suffocates the truth about what circus life is for animals and leads the viewer to believe that it is a life an animal would choose to live. I believe that the release of this film will lead to an increase in circus patronage.
Circuses are a draconian form of entertainment that have somehow survived the evolution of our species' morals. They support illegal animal smuggling businesses and sadistic forms of torture (including tearing babies out of birthing mothers, alternating between stabbing cattle prods and sinking large hooks into elephant's hides until they 'give up', sleep and food deprivation, continual confinement, and the list goes on). Circuses containing acts with animals should be petitioned against and not supported by anyone- animal free circuses are just as fun and guilt free. Please help me to not allow this film to raise the support of this archaic form of entertainment. Tell Dreamworks and Paramount that they need to issue a statement to be seen at the beginning of each viewing of Madagascar 3 which (a) notifies the viewer of the current brutality of circuses and (b) discourages the patronage of any circus or animal-based entertainment organizations.
