MEETING IS TONIGHT!

I believe there will be some opportunity for citizens to speak at the meeting on the subject". 

When I asked about timing of the matters that will be discussed this was the response:

This one is a tough to gauge because of the closed session at the beginning, and then a bunch of statutory public meetings with specific start times beginning at 6pm.

The first item is a closed session - so that will start at 5pm before the open meeting starts. But the Lakeshore development is first on the agenda after closed. So for example, if the closed session only took 30 minutes, I imagine we would start the public part of the meeting at 5:30pm and begin discussing the Lakeshore development before the first statutory public meeting at 6pm.

The added issue is that the first statutory public meeting is at 6pm. Once 6pm hits, we will need to end our "normal" Planning Meeting and go to the statutory public meeting no matter what. So for example, if the closed session took 45 minutes - I could see us coming out of closed at 5:45pm and deferring the regular meeting until after the public meetings (since it will likely take more than 15 minutes for Council to discuss the Lakeshore item).

It's a longwinded way of saying... I don't know for certain what time because of the added complexity of a closed session at the start, and a statutory public meetings starting at 6pm.

The unfortunate part is that closed could take 30 minutes, or it could take an hour.. That's the worst-case scenario, because if closed takes 45 minutes to an hour, we would come out of closed and have to start the first statutory public meeting and the "regular" meeting wouldn't start until after the statutory public meetings - and there's three: one at 6pm, one at 6:30pm and one at 7:00pm - meaning we might not get to the regular meeting until 7:30pm

It's frustrating, I know...
