Greetings to friends, family, and fellow community members! My partner and I have initiated a petition concerning the proposed development of the field behind our house. The project aims to construct over 175 homes in phase 1 by 2029, and an additional 100+ in phase 2. We are advocating a plan that considers the adjacent properties. Our proposal is for permanent access to the development through Lakeshore Rd instead of Egremont Rd. Egremont Rd. currently has an excessive amount of traffic that does not comply with the posted speed regulations. Children and families use the bike/walking path along Egremont for leisure as well to access the beach access across from Lamrecton Park. We also propose establishing buffer zones along the northern boundary of the field, comprising mature trees, shrubs, and grass, with a fence on the inside to create a natural separation between the existing rural homes and the new urban-style development. Without these changes, Egremont Rd would have a 6-foot fence extending from our property to Craigmere Lea, giving it an unwelcoming appearance. You will notice when driving along Egremont Rd from Brights Grove to Warwick, it's evident that no existing developments have fences that interrupt the rural feel. Egremont Rd is recognized as a Heritage Rd, making it essential to maintain its character. We invite you to review our petition and the detailed map of our recommended modifications. The Plympton Wyoming Town Council has deferred the rezoning and initial subdivision plan to contemplate the necessary modifications.
