The Issue

Taylor Hudson was an excellent teacher, mentor, and friend to many Allen High School students enrolled in Allen Computer Science courses. Although his time at AHS was cut short, his impact on his students will subsist far into the future. Taylor’s unique teaching style brought out the best in all of his students, encouraging them to pursue their diverse skills and interests while giving everyone an opportunity to better themselves.

Taylor Hudson put years into working with students to teach and guide them. Not only did Mr. Hudson teach them computer science and programming but also cultivated in them a desire to challenge themselves as scholars and programmers. One look at the photos from last year’s computer science weather balloon project is enough to understand how invaluable Taylor was as a teacher and the environment of learning he fostered for his students.

Given the substantial impact Taylor Hudson has had on his students and all those around him, it is only fitting to commemorate his work as a teacher by naming Allen ISD’s upcoming STEAM center after him. This would be an excellent way to honor his legacy so his love for STEM can continue on.
