This year we are attending school in the midst of a pandemic and many of us are doing classes virtually. The class of 2021 would like to be allowed to take only the classes needed to graduate as opposed to filling up our schedule with electives that don't count towards our graduation requirements. 

It doesn't make sense for seniors  to have to take classes online that are not needed to graduate just to fill up a schedule. Please consider allowing students that are on track to have a reduced schedule. Perhaps adding a class for students that work to the master schedule (called work experience or community service) so that the district still gets the full FTE for the student. The student can bring proof of employment for documentation.

Seniors already have a lot to focus on like college applications and taking the SAT. As well as learning online is all NEW to us! Sitting at a computer screen for 8 hours? Many of us are working jobs as well as still involved in extra curricular activities and due to the current situation we would greatly appreciate you taking the time reading signing and sharing this petition.
