Many South Africans work abroad to earn their primary income.

With the current lock-down regulations they are unable to return to work as other countries relax their lock-down regulations.

This could leave many South Africans and their families without financial support.

Many Industries are affected including but not limited to: Cruising, Yachting, Hotel, Private Residences, Offshore, Oil & gas.

Many of these jobs don't transfer readily to the South African economy as they can be highly specialized.

Allowing these exemptions for South Africans could prove an economic advantage as more jobs will be filled by South Africans compared to more conservative countries. Some countries have already done this and their work force is starting to fill those jobs.

Many workers will be willing to waive certain aspects of government support with regards to repatriation for the opportunity to return to work.
