RSPCA NEEDS INSPECTORATES AVAILABLE AFTER HOURS

RSPCA NEEDS INSPECTORATES AVAILABLE AFTER HOURS

The issue

When making a complaint of an urgent nature to RSPCA VICTORIA after hours, public holidays or the weekend, the complaint must first go to Queensland RSPCA for triage. It is then directed to Victoria where it is again dissected. While we are waiting for urgent help for our unspoken animals, they are suffering and/or even dying.

eg; the Bulla horses.  They were reported on several occasions. 23 dead. Several were severely emaciated.  When the RSPCA were called they advised complainant they don’t work weekends.

The pup in Moe chained in 40 plus degree heat, no food, no water and not even a bit of shade to try and keep cool. Authorities as well as RSPCA were called all weekend and no response. The pup died.

The latest is the stallion chasing the alpacas. Biting kicking and killing them. Once again no response from the only organisation that can help these animals.

We must get back to when RSPCA serviced complaints all hours, 24/7. Cruelty does NOT stop after hours or on weekends. We urgently need to have inspectorates available to avoid any further injuries or deaths. Isn’t that what they are supposed to be doing? Please start practicing what you preach RSPCA
