World Bank: Do the Right Thing!

World Bank: Do the Right Thing!
The Issue
Tell Dr. Jim Yong Kim, President of the World Bank to change the way the World Bank defines Middle Income Countries.
The World Bank designates countries where people make on average more than $2.86 per day as Middle-Income Countries. The Middle-Income Countries are considered to be “not poor” and as a result receive less assistance from the wealthy nations. However, $2.86 per day is not a Middle-Income wage. Today, 75% of the world’s poor reside in the MICs and millions still struggle to get adequate food, shelter and health care. This must be changed!
