My dog gizmo is under hostage by Jeffrey Z. Stein and Stella at the manhattan beach medical clinic on 126 brighton 11th street in brooklyn NYC! 

My dog who is a 7 year old beagle was bleeding heavily 5\13\19. We thought she was in heat but she was getting weaker, vomiting, and not being herself. 5\14\19 we took her to a emergency care vet that cost us all our money to find out she had a pyrometra (infected uterius) and if we didnt pay 4k$ for the surgery she would die. 

My mother's best friend worked for Jeffrey Z. Stein 20 or so years ago. She contacted Dr.Stein in which he said to bring her in asap. My mother's best friend went on to explain our financial situation and we didnt even have money for rent or a cab due to the previous visit to the vet. 

He said to bring her in asap and that he will work with us when it came to payment and that illness doesnt take holidays or birthdays and cant wait for a irs check. (We have text messages to prove it!) 

We bring Gizmo 5\17\19 and Dr.Stein told my mom's best friend that the surgery was a success and so did the receptionist. I gave them my mother's child support check to put on file and to withdrawal every 3rd till it's paid out. Stella went on to say we cant get our dog back till we put a 400$ deposit, in which my mother quotes the text from Dr.Stein. She said she would talk to Dr.Stein and to call back monday because they were closing for the weekend. 

Monday I was getting ready to pick up Gizmo then Stella called me (a 16 year old by the way) while I was leaving saying that SHE needs to pay HER girls as if she's the boss, she's only the office manager. She went on to tell me that the surgery was unsuccessful and there was complications and medical issues but wouldnt go into detail of any kind. I naturally started sob on the phone with her out of distress because I didnt know whats going on with my dog. The push the knife deeper she told me that I was a unfit parent due to my financial status. Then got mad at me for crying and hung up on me. 

Then my mother called her and told her about the texts that Stein sent and she replied with 'the texts are irrelevant. Dr. Stein doesn't remember sending the texts and the texts were forged.' My mother threatened with the police in which Stella threatened to call ASPCA on us for neglect. We are not neglectful towards our Gizmo at all. She lives a comfortable full life with lots of toys and treats and love. We weren't neglectful till we threatened to involve the cops. After we told her we werents neglectful till the cops got involved she hung up on my mother. 

She went on to call my mom's best friend and told her my mother is a drug addict and mentally unstable and that shes a bad pet parent and a bad mother for using child support to pay them for the surgery (even though I consent to use my child support for my dog). My mom's bestfriend went on to tell Stella that she personally contacted Dr.Stein and forwarded the proof. And Stella said he didnt remember the texts and continued to say with forged the messages and now its not about the money but rescuing my dog and she wont return my dog unless I have a court order. 

That night at almost midnight she texted my mom's bestfriend saying that her and Stein wont accept child support payments and that her bestfriend should pay Stella directly, and I can pay her back. Stella also said shes doing more testing on my dog without our consent and the money is really for aftercare. 

To which my mother's best friend said that we dont want aftercare and testing from you and we will find another reasonable vet and we still havent heard back. 

Gizmo has seperation anxiety and has never been away from us at all, specially for a week. Shes a dog and doesnt understand the situation Gizmo isnt just a pet but family. Ive had her since I was 9 and shes been with me through a lot of rough times. 

I havent been able to eat or sleep due to worry. Gizmo's wellbeing is at stake and we really need the help we can get.
