On June 28, 2021, JoCo Report announced that Johnston Community College ruthlessly murdered 46 geese. Johnston Community college did not post this on their website and did not send out an email informing the students of the wrongful euthinization of the geese on campus.

Johnston Community College sits adjacent to I-95, in Smithfield, NC. JCC has two manmade ponds,which naturally attract Canadaian Geese. Are we setting the precedent that everytime a goose migrates to the ponds of JCC that the proper measure is to murder it? That is absurd and inhumane.

JCC Muders Geese is an organization that will do the following:

1.) Bring attention to the massacre against the defenseless goose population of JCC

2.) Provide a proper memorial to immortalize the geese who were brutally exterminated

3.) Hold the college and Dr. Johnson accountable by requesting that they provide a proper apology and a pledge to promote the welfare of wildlife in the future
