This will impact our environment, our school, the students, and our community.  Our environment will be better off because we throw away a ton of food every day that could be used instead to make fertilizer, and then we could have a garden at our school and a way to fertilize it for free.  And, 80% of what we throw away is actually recyclable.  It would mean that we could send only 20% of what we do to landfills instead. Our school would have less of a impact on our environment.  It could teach students the importance of keeping our  environment clean because at the end of the day our generation is the one that will decide if the environment will survive or not.   And what we need to say is yes, it will survive and thrive once we correct our mistakes. Our community would be stronger because it shows that we do care about our environment.  And if we use the fertilizer for a garden, planting it could become a community gathering!
